Meet our Instructors

We have two PGA accredited professionals here at Centenary Park Golf Course. Each Teaching Professional brings different qualities in both terms of playing and teaching experiences, enabling you to best match a teaching professional to your needs and learning style.

Warren Young

Warren Young

Warren has had over 40 years’ experience in the industry and a long connection to Centenary Park Golf Course, having managed the course with his wife for many years. It’s one of the best things about Centenary Park – watching how it has grown over the past 25 years.

Warren’s love for golf started early. He began playing golf as a 13 year old living close by to the Rosny Park Public Golf Course and once he caught the bug, he’s never looked back.

As a PGA Professional Warren loves to pass on his wealth of knowledge, so that his students don’t make the same mistakes he did.

Warren is also one of the Top 50 Club Fitters Australia-wide – so make your club fitting to get the most out of your golf equipment today!

When not playing golf, Warren likes to keep fit and active and is also a great fisherman. They call him ‘Snapper Young’! See if you can extract his latest fishing spot.

Jack Donaldson

Jack Donaldson

Jack has 20 years’ experience and has worked at a variety of golf facilities including Robina Woods, Royal Melbourne Golf Club and The Dunes to name a few. His career highlight to date is a hole in one at Royal Melbourne Golf Club 5th Hole West Course!

Jack started playing golf as a 14 year old for two reasons – he was tired of sitting on the bench playing footy and he wanted to beat his Dad at playing golf. Jack caught the golf bug like everyone else and the rest is history…he loved the game.

Jack gets great satisfaction out of seeing people improve and get more enjoyment out of playing golf. Golf like anything is in constant evolution, so he also enjoys learning and upskilling himself with more facets and knowledge of the game.

The best thing about Centenary Park is that it is one of the best public courses in Victoria. The course offers variety and presents really well. Being a public golf course, it caters for a broad spectrum of golfers – which makes the facility entertaining and never the same from day to day.

Jack’s secret skill is that he’s ambidextrous and that he’s also a professional shower singer (so he says!) He also loves a good audio book, so be sure to ask Jack his latest recommendation when you catch up.
